Attractive Storage Options

February 24th, 2010

Many times there just isn’t room to store all the tools needed to garden successfully. Fertilizers, potting soil, clay pots also need to be stored so that they stay dry. An outdoor shed is the perfect addition to any backyard. Placing the shed on or near the patio can also be very convenient for the homeowner. Read more

I Love My Cheap Sunglasses

December 16th, 2009

When I buy a pair of wholesale sunglasses, it is with the knowledge that I will probably lose them.  The dogs may get a hold of them, they may get trapped in the bottom of my purse, and they may even somehow end up in the bathtub.  Who knows how?  The point is, I love my cheap sunglasses.  Once I have determined what style truly looks good on me, I can easily pick up a pair of sunglasses online or in stores which flatters my face and barely costs me anything! Cooking in Romertopf Clay Cookware

November 30th, 2009

We had a big group over for Thanksgiving and it was wonderful. It’s one of my favorite holidays. It’s probably because a big turkey with all of the delicious side dishes that go with it makes up one of my all-time favorite meals. Yummy sweet potatoes with brown sugar and melted marshmallows, buttery mashed potatoes made from scratch, fresh green beans with slivered almonds, and of course biscuits and gravy. Then there are the numerous desserts like pumpkin and pecan pie, hot apple pie topped with vanilla ice creams, and much more. What’s not to like? My family was surprised to see that some of my dishes were cooked in Romertopf Clay Cookware since many of them had not heard of this cookware before. Read more

Stay In Shape Like The Celebrities

November 16th, 2009

Many may know Lisa Wu-Hartwell from the hit show on Bravo TV, The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The show is a reality show and gives a glimpse into the lives of the wives of athletes, and entrepreneurs who appear to have the easy life. Hartwell is one of the housewife favorites and is known for her sweet and neutral personality. She never really gets into altercations with any of the other housewives and is the loving mother of a toddler even though she is pushing 40! And though she is middle aged, she definitely has it going on. Her body is impeccable. But how does she do it? Well first of all, you can almost bet that Lisa only eats a diet that is fit for an athlete training for the Olympics. While it’s almost certain that she cheats sometimes, as everyone does, you can rest assured that she is keeping to her diet plans. Secondly, Lisa probably has a personal trainer, or she does her own training and spends several hours a week minimum at the gym. And she’s not just in the gym looking cute; she’s in their getting a good workout in. Read more

What a Copper Fence Post Cap Brought to Our Yard

November 6th, 2009

Two years ago we moved into one of those cookie cutter neighborhoods where all the houses look somewhat the same along the yards, fences and decks. My wife actually parked in the neighbor’s driveway on evening after a long day at work only to realize that our house was next door! So we set out to find a way to differentiate our yard from the rest and wanted to do it in a very classy way. That’s when we found the copper fence post cap. Read more

Great Knife to Hand Down To Your Son

October 29th, 2009

The camping tools would be a great family legacy.  It is beautifully crafted and has a cool looking handle.  That abalone inlay is amazing looking.  It is less than two inches and weighs only three-quarters of an ounce.  It has abalone inlay on the handle with nickel silver bolsters and a keyring.  It is hand-made by master craftsman in Seki Japan.  The steel blade was very sharp when I opened the box and it holds a nice edge.
